Meet Jordana

A cat person with clinical calm.

When I come through your door, I know that care can be emotional, messy, and still deeply loving.

Hi, I'm Jordana.

I started my career in pet care in 2010, began working as a veterinary assistant in 2014, and became a certified veterinary technician (CVT) in 2022.

After years across hospital settings, including general practice, emergency and critical care, specialty medicine, and surgery, I found my focus in feline-only care. Since 2020, I have worked exclusively with cats, expanding my knowledge of feline health and refining my cat handling skills while also supporting and educating cat parents through every stage of their cats’ nine lives.

I started Comfy Claws for the cat parents who need trustworthy help with the care that happens between clinic visits. Whether that’s a simple nail trim, assistance with daily medications, or more complex support, I am honored to be with you on this journey and to help your cat live their best life.

I’m here to help you feel more confident caring for your cat, with knowledgeable support and compassion for both of you.

My experience

A career built around caring.

  1. 2010–2014

    Boarding & shelter care

I worked as a kennel and cattery assistant, first at a local boarding facility and later at an animal shelter, where I had my first exposure to the medical side of pet care.

  2. 2014–2019

    Small-animal general practice

As a veterinary technician in mixed small-animal general practice, I cared for cats, dogs, and the occasional pocket pet, honing my technical skills and building my knowledge of animal health.

  3. 2019–2020

    Emergency & specialty medicine

I worked as a veterinary technician at a local emergency and specialty hospital, expanding my skills and gaining valuable experience in critical care and complex case management.

  4. 2020–2026

    Feline-only care & team leadership

I shifted my focus to cats at a local feline-only general practice clinic, serving for five years as the lead veterinary technician before stepping down to pursue my business goals.

My mission & vision

Care that protects the bond you share.

My mission is to protect, maintain, and enhance the bond between cats and their humans through compassionate, low-stress care at home. I bridge the gap between the care your veterinarian provides and what you can comfortably manage on your own.

My vision is to be the Philadelphia area’s premier provider of veterinary-informed mobile care for cats and the humans who love them.

Eli’s legacy

I understand complex care at home, because I’ve lived it.

My beloved soul cat, Eli, had complex medical needs that required extensive daily care. Even with my veterinary background, the routine could feel overwhelming, and I often wondered what would’ve happened to him had he been adopted by someone less experienced.

Eli taught me that caregiving can be deeply loving and exhausting at the same time. His memory shapes the support I offer: knowledgeable, calm help that makes care feel more manageable while protecting the bond you share with your cat.

How do I book, and what happens during a visit?

Choose a service and request a visit through online booking. The Your Visit page explains how to prepare and what to expect. Services are performed with clients present at home, unless discussed beforehand.

Can this replace a visit to the vet?

At-home services such as nail trims and sanitary care can reduce trips to the vet clinic for care that can be comfortably provided at home; however, these services are not a substitute for necessary routine, preventative, or illness-related veterinary care. Questions about symptoms or medical concerns should always be directed to your veterinarian. For questions about whether an at-home service fits your cat’s needs, please get in touch.
